How Does Hosted IVR Function?
When a customer dials the business phone number, the call links up with the advanced servers of Get8net, where the client's PBX system is hosted. The custom IVR of the client is then triggered, delivering a tailored greeting to the incoming call.
Following the initial customer greeting, the caller encounters a range of interaction choices seamlessly woven into the IVR. For instance, "Thank you for contacting Get8net. Press 1 for Sales, Press 2 for Support, Press 3 for Billing," and so forth. A multitude of engagement options can populate the client's IVR, each connecting to distinct departments and individual agents via designated extensions.
Once the caller makes their selection, they are promptly directed to their chosen department or agent, effectively establishing a connection between the caller and the business.
